Main technologies for electricity generation are wind (off-shore or on-shore), solar (photovoltaic or thermal), hydropower, geothermal, nuclear, gas turbine (standard or combined cycle), coal or oil or biomass or biogas burning.

Like for other energy production model, learning rates / creation / maintenance / duration / dismantling costs, emissions, resources consumptions are considered.
