Fossil energies in WITNESS include
- natural gas model and several related energy production technologies such as gas turbine electricity generation
- oil resource model and several related energy production technologies such as oil burning electricity generation
- coal resource model and several related energy production technologies such as coal burning electricity generation
- uranium resource model and related nuclear energy production technology
For each
- the resource model gather production, price and stock resource data coming from resource disciplines and aggregates the result, taking as input the resource demand from the energy mix, and as output production, stock and price
- the production technology models define energy produced from these resource depending on investment (to create and/or maintain production capability) and other needs, and define energy production price as well as emissions generated during production
